Carver Construction has been awarded the APWA (American Public Works Association) Capital Branch Project of the Year Award in the Emergency Construction category for our Gloversville-Johnstown Wastewater Treatment Facility Slope Failure project!
This critical emergency job involved stabilizing a collapsing slope along Cayadutta Creek. With limited access, our team built a temporary bridge of concrete barriers and crane mats, removed spoils, and reinforced the slope with extra heavy stone fill.
Ken Barth (Vice President), AG Bourgeois (General Manager), and Sarah Killeen (Project Manager) attended the award ceremony alongside GPI Engineers and the Gloversville-Johnstown Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility team to accept this honor.
This recognition highlights our dedication to public safety, efficiency, and excellence in construction.
