The P&M Offshore Wind Infrastructure (POWI) project proposes to upgrade the Port of Coeymans infrastructure enabling the Port to support offshore wind projects and service the offshore wind supply chain. The upgrades consist of constructing a new heavy load wharf and site grading to provide fabrication/manufacturing, assembly, and storage pads across the site, including new buildings, to service the unique needs associated with offshore wind. Proposed site improvements will help support New York State’s Clean Energy Standard of 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and the goal of developing 9,000 MW of offshore wind by 2035.
