A project that involves 2 separate jobs that we have handled as one large project. The first section is from Frankfort to Ilion and was bid last year for $4.4 Million Dollars. We started this project last fall and worked late into the winter in order the get the embankments complete on either side of the bridge. This year we worked on installing more embankment, pipe extensions, installing subbase & paving. The next section is from Ilion to Mohawk, this project was bid in June of this year for $6.3 Million Dollars. Once we were notified that we were low bidder the owner asked us if we could take the completion date of June 31, 2021 and reduce it by 6 months with a new completion date of December 31, 2020. We looked at it and told the owner we could get it done by then, which required us to work 6 days a week – 12 Hours a day. This project is like the first section of trail with an embankment, pipe extensions, one bridge, subbase, and paving. We anticipate that all the work on both projects are substantially complete by December 31, 2020 and will be the final sections of the Empire State Trail System. The crews have been working hard and have been able to get both paved.
After nearly two years of construction at the Yates Village site, a high-quality project has been successfully finished and is now available for use across all three phases by the tenants. The upgraded public housing community boasts a new basketball court, significantly improved parking facilities, and designated picnic areas in each block for gatherings and grilling. This marks Yates Village as one of Carver Construction's more substantial projects completed in the city of Schenectady to date, enhancing the overall quality of living for the residents and contributing to the community's amenities.

This undertaking involved the removal and replacement of deteriorating culvert wingwalls and headwalls. The new headwalls were crafted using cast-in-place concrete, with the wings being a Redi Rock block wall system. Carver had to temporarily close Rowland Street for this project and expedite construction to ensure the roadway reopened in time for the school year. Throughout the construction process, unexpected rock formations were encountered at various sites, prompting a redesign of a portion of the project. Despite these alterations, Carver successfully completed the project safely and promptly. The on-site crew demonstrated commendable resilience in tackling challenges posed by heavy water from the creek and managing a single access point for materials.
This project, recently finished, aimed to alleviate the congestion in the trailhead parking lot along the Mohawk River in Halfmoon. The project involved the dismantling of the previous 6-space lot and the installation of a new 16-space lot, complete with fresh timber railing and paved walking trails. The Carver Construction crew was able to complete the work in less than a months' time, which please the owner and local residents.
